Hands of love is social outreach that was established in 2009 aimed at reaching out to the needy/disadvantaged citizens of Mthatha. It started as a Mthatha Social Outreach Project planned and done by the youth of Mthatha mostly students who are now in high learning institutions all over South Africa. We did this all to give back to our hometown and communities. The outreach team stands and acts upon the word of God and the only way we do this is to show love to our brothers and sisters. We believe it’s not our place to judge the kids/parents living on the streets but the fact is they are there and we will do something about it and show love because we were loved first. When we were lost the Lord did not judge but showed us love and drew us closer to him and that’s the ground the outreach stands on. Families that are struggling to survive in our town with different causes to their struggles but that does not and will not stop us from reaching out and giving a hand where we can.
We are encouraged and driven by the word of GOD in Hebrews 3:12-13 NIV
12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. |
